Our Dragons hit the road today for a special trip to the Whiting Auditorium to see Charlotte’s Web come to life on stage! The performance was full of creativity, music, and heart—and our students were captivated from start to finish. It was an unforgettable experience that brought this classic story to life in a whole new way. Bravo to the cast and crew—and thank you to all who helped make this trip possible; especially our music teacher Tara Kimbrue who organized the entire event!

The halls of Dieck Elementary are bursting with color and creativity! Mrs. Jacobs’ art classes have transformed our school with vibrant end-of-year artwork, including stunning tropical rainforest animals that bring the jungle to life! As we admire these masterpieces, we also celebrate our amazing 5th graders with special art tributes to honor their journey and wrap up their years at Dieck. What a beautiful way to close the year—through art, heart, and Dragon pride!

Something egg-citing is happening at Dieck Elementary! Our students have been learning all about the life cycle of chickens—from egg to hatchling! With curiosity and care, they made daily observations and witnessed the incredible moment the chicks began to hatch. It’s hands-on science, real-life wonder, and lots of fluffy fun in the classroom!

Step right up to STEM with Mrs. Kelly’s classes at Dieck Elementary! These designs were from Mrs. Allison's 4th grade class. Our brilliant Dragons put their creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork to the test by designing their own carnival games! From concept to construction, students built exciting games and then challenged their classmates to play and win fun prizes. It was a day full of innovation, laughter, and hands-on learning—STEM at its finest!

Congratulations to our Positivity Project Winners at Dieck Elementary! This week, we celebrated the character strength of Purpose—setting goals, working toward them with determination, and knowing that what you do matters. Our Dragons in grades 3-5 showed us what it means to live with intention and make a positive impact! We’re so proud of these students for leading with purpose and inspiring others to do the same. WOW—my heart is full! Thank you to the amazing students, staff, and families of Dieck Elementary for making National School Principals Day so incredibly special. From the creative, personalized t-shirts and thoughtful homemade crafts to the sweet handwritten notes, beautiful drawings, and all of my favorite snacks and drinks—you truly outdid yourselves! Every gift, every word, every smile reminded me how lucky I am to be part of this incredible Dragon family. But the greatest gift of all is getting to work alongside each of you every single day. I love being an elementary principal because I get to witness our students’ growth, support our dedicated staff, and partner with our families to help everyone succeed. Thank you for welcoming me into Dieck this year. We have something truly special here. I am proud to be a Dieck Dragon!

Let's give a round of applause for everyone who participated in our Dieck Talent Show—WOW, you were incredible! Whether you were singing, dancing, flipping, showing off your sports moves, or making us laugh, you lit up the stage like true Dragons! 🐉✨ I’ve got to tell you… there were moments I had tears in my eyes because my heart was so full. Watching you express yourselves with such courage and joy reminded me what learning and growing is all about. It takes bravery, strength, and perseverance—and YOU showed that Dragons can do hard things and shine while doing them! 💪❤️ A huge THANK YOU to our audience for coming out to support our performers and encouraging them to do their best! And of course, a special shout-out to the staff who made it all happen: 🎭 Mrs. Lovely, Mr. Kitchen, and Mrs. Johnson—thank you for organizing and cheering on our performers! Their mantra for the kids was to make it fun, fun fun! 🌟 Mrs. Martin—thank you for your support the night of the show! 🎶 Mr. Moore, Mr. Kitchen (again!), and Mrs. Palmer—thank you for sharing your musical magic with us!
